1. RF office area
a) Storage areas and floor space

All heavy items and objects are stored between shoulder and knee height
No shelves or any other storage units are overloaded; no items on upper shelves are sitting precariously
The floor space is free of obstructions; especially entry area to RF office

2. Main floor kitchen
a) Work surfaces
*
All work surfaces are clear and free of debris
Work surfaces are free of any dangerous items and materials such as knives, sharp tools and dangerous chemicals
There are no sharp edges or protrusions on any work surfaces that could pose a risk of harm to a worker
b) Storage areas and floor space
*
All chemicals, detergents and other poisonous or hazardous substances are stored separately from foodstuffs
No shelves or any other storage units are overloaded
All heavy items and objects are stored between shoulder and knee height (check top of fridge)
The floor space is free of obstructions and that passageways and entryways are not blocked - must have 36” of clearance for all passage areas

3. Refugee Committee Office, Ground Floor
Hallways and Common Space
Storage areas and floor space:

All shelves are securely fastened in place and properly anchored against the walls and/or the floors
All heavy items and objects are stored between shoulder and knee height
No shelves or any other storage units are overloaded
The floor space is free of obstructions
Passages and entryways are not blocked - must have 36” of clearance for passage areas
Ladder at bottom of north stairwell is hung on hook
Dolly is stored in coat rack alcove in back hallway
Coat area in back hallway alcove is tidy, shelves are tidy and not overloaded
All floor spaces are dry, clean and free of any dangerous obstructions, obstacles or obvious tripping hazards

4. Ground Floor Washrooms
Ensure that:

All soap and/or hand sanitizer dispensers are fully stocked and working properly
All toilets, urinals and door locks are functioning properly
Toilet paper and paper towel dispensers are fully stocked and working properly
Floor surfaces are mopped and dried, and yellow “wet floor” signs is on hand for when mopping occurs (located behind small shelf in north stairwell)
Floor surfaces are free of any obstructions or obstacles

5. Basement
a) Work Surfaces in Laundry Room and Workroom

All work surfaces are clear and free of debris
Work surfaces are free of any dangerous items and materials such as knives, sharp tools and dangerous chemicals
There are no sharp edges or protrusions on any work surfaces that could pose a risk of harm to a worker
b) Storage areas and floor space
*
Floor spaces are free of obstructions, noting that areas prone to obstruction are: i) Laundry room (make sure floor drain is exposed, clean and unobstructed) ii) Basement garbage/recycling area
Passages and entryways are not blocked – must have 36” of clearance for walkways
All floor spaces are dry, clean, and free of any dangerous obstructions, obstacles or obvious tripping hazards
c) Fire Safety

Stairwells are unobstructed

6. Second Floor
Storage areas and floor space

South hallway front of house is tidy and free from obstruction (this is important, as it is a passage to a fire exit)
Archive room and TMM office floor space is tidy and free from obstruction
Hallway outside archive room and 2nd floor lounge is free from obstruction, doorway between this area and Day Care area is unobstructed

7. Third Floor
a) Storage areas and floor space

South hallway at front of house is completely clear (important, as this is a passage to a fire exit)
All heavy items and objects are stored between shoulder and knee height
No shelves or any other storage units are overloaded
Floors are dry, clean and free of any dangerous obstructions, obstacles or obvious tripping hazards
Passages and entryways are not blocked (36” inches of clearance is required in passageways)

Soap and/or hand sanitizer dispensers is full
Toilet is functioning properly
Adequate toilet paper on hand
Floor surfaces are mopped and dry
Floor surfaces are free of any obstructions or obstacles
