The Toronto Monthly Meeting Library collection serves as a resource for Toronto Monthly Meeting and Canadian Yearly Meeting members and attenders. Members of the public may be interested to view books, journals and pamphlets on Quakerism and Quaker history. Our small collection is shelved according to the Dewey Decimal system. Currently, you can look library materials up by title, author and subject in a card catalog as well as in the online catalog.
Here is a recommended book list compiled in 2021 and completed in April 2022. Members of TMM assisted Billi Knight with booklist creation during 2020-2022, in hopes of highlighting some key books on topics of interest to Toronto Friends. Toronto Public Library owns all of these books; formats are listed under each book description.
Library staff are volunteers and not always available. If you need help with your research, please provide details by email. We may be able to direct you to a more convenient alternative source. Otherwise, you can schedule an appointment by emailing the library at [email protected].
