  • $10 for catering for 20 people or fewer
  • $20 for catering for 20–50 people
  • $35 for catering for 50 people or more

These fees will be waived if:
  • Catering is provided through MySuppli.
  • Catering is provided through another service using Muuse for all dishes, containers, and utensils. Friends House renters will receive a 10% discount.
(MySuppli and Muuse will have bins on site, containers can simply be scraped clean and placed in bins)
  • Friends House dishes are used, with someone from the group doing the washing up (see Kitchen rates above)

Plastic beverage bottles (e.g., bottled water) are not permitted.

Making a booking

Step 1. Check Availability:

Before making a booking request, read the Terms and Conditions and the
Rental Policy. Then, check availability of the rooms and times you are interested in on the Friends House Calendar:

Step 2. Create a booking

a) For Returning Renters:
(First-time renters, see below.)

1. Be sure you have understood the Terms and Conditions page. Completing the booking form indicates that the individual responsible for the booking has completely read and understood it.

2. Check availability of the room(s) you are interested in on the Friends House Weekly Diary, below. To make a booking request, click on  the + symbol on the date and room you wish to book and follow the instructions, noting that:
  • Rooms are booked in 4-hour sessions (not by the hour).
  • Friends House requires one half-hour between separate bookings to allow for cleaning.
  • In the "description" field of the booking form, seating arrangement must be described, which will then be set up prior to the event by Friends House Staff.
  • Groups should consider whether or not the kitchen is also needed, and to reserve it if it is.
  • A 'point person' who will be on site on the day of the booking should be informed that they must check in with Friends House staff when they arrive, and when their event is finished.

3. Once the booking request has been processed, an invoice will be sent. This will confirm the booking. Log into your account at any time to review the status of your booking requests and invoices (it's much easier than searching your email inbox!).

Important: Bookings are not confirmed until the booking form has been received and the invoice has been emailed to you.  Completing the booking form indicates that the individual responsible for the booking has completely read and understood the Terms and Conditions page.

b) For First Time Renters:

1. Read the Friends House Rental Policy and the Friends House Terms and Conditions.

2. To create an account and make a booking request, click on  the + symbol on the date and room you wish to book and follow the instructions, noting that:

  • Rooms are booked in 4-hour sessions (not by the hour).
  • Friends House requires one half-hour between separate bookings to allow for cleaning.
  • In the "description" field of the booking form, seating arrangement must be described, which will then be set up prior to the event by Friends House Staff.
  • Groups should consider whether or not the kitchen is also needed, and to reserve it if it is.
  • A 'point person' who will be on site on the day of the booking should be informed that they must check in with Friends House staff when they arrive, and when their event is finished.

3. Download the Friends House Rental Release form. After filling it out, signing (with witness), and scanning it, email a copy to: [email protected], along with a description of the group's mandate or mission statement, a link to the group's website (if applicable) and a description of the types of events the space will be used for.

NOTE:
In addition to the Release form, an Organizer waiver, which will include contact tracing information, will need to be signed by the organizer of the booked event(s) before they enter Friends House.

4. A copy of the processed Rental Release form will be sent back for your records, along with an invoice. This will confirm the booking. Once you have created an account, you may sign in to your account at any time to view the status of your booking requests and invoices (it's much easier than searching your email inbox!).

Important: Bookings are not confirmed until the booking form has been received and the invoice has been emailed to you.  Completing the booking form indicates that the individual responsible for the booking has completely read and understood the Terms and Conditions page.
